ABOUT THE TEAM

The University of Alabama Women’s Club Volleyball team was established in 2006 and is continuously growing as a program. The team offers a great option for those who want to pursue their volleyball career in college, without the major time commitment of a varsity athletics program. We field two teams who practice twice a week, as well as travel and host weekend tournaments all over the SEC.

Practice Location: Student Recreation Center – North Gym

Practice Times: Thursdays and Sundays 6-8:00 pm
Home Tournament Location: Student Recreation Center – South Gym

How Much Will It Cost?

Estimated Dues (each semester): $100

National Dues will vary based on the location of the tournament each year (flight/hotel costs, registration fees, etc.)

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

In order to join the Club Volleyball team, you must attend tryouts and then be chosen to be added to the roster. We usually keep a roster of 20-25 to ensure that we always have enough players to travel and compete. Previous volleyball experience is encouraged, although not required. The focus of this club is strictly competitive, and we look for players that have the drive and maturity to make a legitimate commitment to our organization. We choose players based on the number of open positions, so please do not be discouraged if you do not make the team at your first tryout! We have many players who did not make it the first time, but did during a different semester.

Talk to current players at "Get on Board Day": Thursday, August 29th from 5:00-9:00pm.
Open Gym: Thursday, September 5th at 6:00 - come get ready for tryouts and meet the team!
Tryout Dates (not required to come to both, but it is encouraged) : These vary each semester, please check our social media for the most up to date information!
** If under 19 years old, a parent signature is required. If this is the case, a participation form must be completed before tryouts and can be found on imleagues.com. Please email completed forms to sportclubs@ua.edu.
